Girls In Tech Liberia (GITL) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2019 and commenced active operations in 2022.
Our Mission is to educate and empower women and girls in technology through our free tech training programs, supported by generous donations.
Our vision is ambitious: by 2030, GITL aims to educate and empower at least ten thousand women and girls in technology, shaping a more inclusive and diversified tech landscape.
1. Education and Empowerment, 2. Teamwork and Innovation, 3. Equality and Inclusivity, 4. Efficiency and Effectiveness, 5. Transparency and Trustworthiness.
We focused on 4 primary areas that call for action:
“
The number of women in technology roles has always been lesser than that of males. Employers are making every effort to hire more women in the area, yet there appears to be a shortage of women joining the field. This is mostly due to the perception of technology as a male-dominated topic to study in school.
“
Girls in Tech Liberia supports and encourages more girls to join Tech in-order to get access to tech education and other tech opportunities.
“
We need more girls in tech and we need them to stay in tech field.
With your support, we can impact more girls in tech. Please donate to our program and help us make a difference.
