Girls in Tech Liberia Secures Grant to Empower 150 Women and Girls in Digital Marketing (March-August 2024)

Girls in Tech Liberia (GITL) has secured a fantastic grant of USD $26,574 from the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development (EJS Center).

This amazing grant fuels GITL’s six-month project titled “Empowering Women and Girls through Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurship.” From March to August 2024, GITL will offer free digital marketing training to 150 women and girls across Liberia.

Empowering Women to Lead in the Digital Age

“We are incredibly grateful for the EJS Center’s support,” said Massa Weeks, CEO of Girls in Tech Liberia. “This grant allows us to empower women and girls to not only become entrepreneurs, but also leaders who can leverage the power of digital tools to shape their communities.”

Boosting Skills for Success

The “Empowering Women and Girls through Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurship” project will equip participants with essential digital marketing tools, including:

  • Mastering Social Media Marketing: Learn how to leverage the power of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to reach new customers and build a strong brand.
  • Unlocking the Secrets of SEO: Discover how to get your business noticed online through effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.
  • Crafting Compelling Content: Develop skills to create engaging content that captivates your audience and drives results.
  • Understanding E-commerce Fundamentals: Gain the knowledge to navigate the exciting world of online sales.
